Ending Reckless Foreign Wars

War should be a last resort, not a default tool of foreign policy. The United States has spent decades committing troops and resources to conflicts with no clear objective, no exit plan, and no end in sight, while the human and financial cost falls on the same working families who see none of the benefit.

As Senator, Lydia will:

  • Oppose military intervention that lacks a clearly defined objective, a realistic plan for how it ends, and a direct connection to U.S. national security, rather than open-ended commitments justified after the fact
  • Push to redirect resources spent on unauthorized or unnecessary conflicts toward domestic priorities
  • Support restoring genuine diplomatic channels as the first response to international conflict, not a formality exhausted before military action already planned

Policies on this page are living documents. Lydia updates them as research, legislation, and community input evolve. If something here should be sharper, more accurate, or missing entirely, tell her campaign.
