The decision to continue or end a pregnancy belongs to the person who is pregnant, not to the government.

As Senator, Lydia will:

• Cosponsor and push to pass federal legislation codifying the right to abortion up to the point of fetal viability, with exceptions for the life and health of the pregnant person at any stage
• Support a federal right to travel across state lines to obtain legal reproductive healthcare, and oppose any state or federal effort to criminalize that travel or prosecute those who assist it
• Protect access to medication abortion, including mifepristone, against FDA reversals or state-level bans that conflict with federal drug approval
• Oppose any federal personhood law or fetal personhood definition that would criminalize miscarriage, IVF, or contraception
